Next, ring Bunnings to make an appointment with one of their Kitchen staff. They will charge you a $99 fee to sit down for two hours to design your kitchen (you get that money back when you order one). You can even get them to come to your house, measure your kitchen up for you – for a small fee.

It usually takes about two weeks from ordering your kitchen to the arrival of the flat pack.

When you are ready to have your kitchen installed, you call Gympie Carpentry and we will put together the flat packs, and we will install it for you!

What’s Better? An Ikea Kitchen or a Bunnings Kitchen?

If you had asked me five years ago – I would have said an Ikea Kitchen was better quality. But now – Bunnings have really improved their range. So I would now say – both are very good!

The advantage of a Bunnings Kitchen over an Ikea Kitchen is that Bunnings is local. But if you are into the more traditional range (which would suit a Queenslander home) – I would take a look at the range at Ikea.

How Much Do You Charge for a Kitchen Installation?

Well the price does depend on a lot of things such as:

• The number of cabinets and overhead cupboards
• The size of the kitchen
• Are we also installing new sinks?
• Are there new appliances to be installed?
• Any tiling, plumbing or electrical work needed
• Do you need bulkheads installed?
